I watched my first silent movie on PBS when I was 10 and never realized that was uncool. I snuck out of bed to watch old monster movies with dad. Walked to the neighborhood library every Saturday as a kid to get a different film book or Hollywood biography. You can call me a geek; I’ll call myself a film fan. It feels like I’ve been watching movies forever. Those childhood passions have guided me through my journalism career as an editor and sometimes writer in my hometown of Buffalo, N.Y.
My other favorite things: spending time with my big extended Italian family especially my excellent nieces and nephews; Boba Fett and Kylo Ren; collecting books, movies and movie memorabilia; and the 15 years I had with my devoted Honey the Dog. Then there’s my Bronte-Yorkshire Moors and heather obsession. That’s another story.
I look forward to your feedback so please don’t hesitate to contact me in anyway you would like. Also look for my monthly column “Monsters and Matinees” on Classic Movie Hub.
